What is a "Dead heat"?

A dead heat is when two or more competitors finish a sporting event with the identical place or classification.

Example: A ski event ends in a tie between athlete A (odds of 4.60) and athlete B (odds of 9.00). Users who bet R$10 on athlete A win R$23 (odds x stake/number of selections that are considered correct = 4.60 x 10/2). Users who bet R$10 on player B win R$45 (9.00 x 10/2).
